Why is there a split on one of my shaft protectors/bushings?

If you purchased an American Eagle tenderizer or jerky slicer, you will notice that there is one long shaft protector (or bushing) that will have a split, like in the reference photo below.

This split is intentional. It allows the ability to remove the part off the shaft it resides. Unless there is wear on the item, there is no need to replace the part. Before running the attachment, please make sure all shaft protectors on all sides are in good condition and are assembled properly on the shafts. If any of the shaft protectors are missing, you will need to purchase replacements. Do NOT run the attachment without the shaft protectors.

To purchase replacement parts, you can give us a call at 800-836-5756 or send us an email.
