Why is my deli slicer not cutting properly?

Why is my deli slicer not cutting properly?

Please check the following:

1. Make sure the unit is positioned correctly and is held securely to the product table.
2. Make sure the meat is not being pushed too much toward the blade.
   
3. Make sure the blade is sharp. Sharpen it at least once a day when you use it.
   
4. Make sure there are no loose components. Make sure everything is tightened properly. 
   
5. Make sure the slicer components are not dirty or greasy. Clean the slicer by following the instructions in your manual.
   
6. Check if the carriage is sliding properly. If not, use a few drops of oil on the sliding guides.
   
7. Double check that the drive belt is not loosened by use. If loose, remove the back cover to re-tighten the belt.
