The motor unit gearbox uses lithium grease. DO NOT use oil or gear oil as this type of lubrication is too fluid and will leak easily.

We recommend using NLGI #2 Lithium Grease inside the gearbox if you disassemble the gearbox for service, which can be typically found in any local hardware or auto parts supply store.

The meat grinder gear box holds approximately 7oz or 0.2kg of lithium grease.

Note: We do not recommend mixing old/new grease, or different brands/types of NLGI #2 grease after servicing the gear box. Make sure to clean off any old grease remaining on the parts inside the gearbox completely before refilling the gear box with new grease.
