The meat cutter is not properly cutting the meat. What should I do?

  1. Please check out the below video featuring key assembly tips:

  2. Please check if the blades are assembled correctly in your attachment. The flat sides of each blade on one shaft should be touching the flat sides of the blades on the other shaft. Make sure that the beveled sides of each blade are facing outward and are not touching. See the photo below for reference:

  1. Make sure the meat you are processing is not too warm. Chill the meat to 32ºF-34ºF (0ºC-1ºC). Do not feed completely frozen meat into the cutter.
  1. Try increasing the pressure on the short shaft slightly to make sure that all blades are gently touching each other throughout the entire rotation. Tighten the knobs that connect to the pressure washer on both the lower and upper frame evenly. With the slightly increased force on the pressure washer to help ensure all blades are touching, this will increase the friction against each blade, so spraying some cooking oil to help lubricate the blades during processing will help prevent any damage or pre-mature dulling.
  1. Make sure that the meat does not contain any bones. The meat cutter does not cut bones.
  1. Check the blades to make sure the edges are not worn or dulled. If they are, you will need to replace the blades. For more information on replacing the blades and how to purchase, please visit this article.
  1. Make sure the tightening knobs are not fastened too tightly. It should be loose enough to be able to loosen by hand. Please only hand tighten the tightening knob.
  1. Check to make sure that nothing is obstructing the cutter.
