My dough sheeter motor seems to be running slowly or doesn't turn on. What should I do?
Please follow these below simple troubleshooting steps:
- Check to make sure that the voltage at your outlet is always between 200v-240v. (A machine connected to a 208V circuit may not turn on or run slowly if the voltage dips lower than 200V. Our machine motors generally have a nominal 230V rating)
- Make sure the machine is unplugged.
- Open the back cover of the dough sheeter. The cover is held by simply screws. Be careful when removing the cover.
- Check to see if any of the wires are loose.
- Check to see if the overload on the contactor relay has tripped. If the overload has tripped, please reset the overload using the small microswitch. Check Video here: https://youtu.be/2WrIgtSW8Eg
- Check the amp setting number on the overload relay is not set too low. Please see photo A below to identify where the relay is located, and photo B to where the setting for the amp is on this part. Make sure that the overload is set to the maximum number like in the photo 6.3A. The small circle determines what it is currently set as. The amp number on yours might differ as each machine might differ in relays. If your relay has a large amp number, like 7 or 8, please use a tiny screwdriver to turn the dial clockwise to increase to the maximum number on your relay. If your relay has numbers larger than 8A, please just set it to 8A, and no other larger value. Once you set the overload, plug the machine back in and try again.
