Depending on the output size of your meat cutter, the procedures on how to update your meat cutter may differ. For these procedures, please reference the parts breakdown below.

If you are unsure if your meat cutter has been updated, please send us photos of the inside of your meat cutter and we will help determine if it has been updated or not.

The 1/8" and the popular 1/4" have similar procedures, and the procedure is relatively simple. As you are replacing AE-MC12NH/17 and AE-MC12NH/19 with the upgraded counterparts, you will need to remove AE-MC12NH/14 and AE-MC12NH/16 on that same short shaft. Please do NOT remove any parts from the long shaft on the other side. On that end of that short shaft, the arrangement should be as follows: parts #15, #17B, #19B, and #18. With part #15 nut touching the blades directly, please make sure that the flat side of the nut (not the beveled side) is touching the blades. The easiest way to tell is looking from the side of this part. Please see the below photo differentiating the two sides of the nut: 

Replacing AE-MC12NH/11 is optional. If the updated assembly with replaced parts is coming out of the chamber, you will need to replace part #11 also. In some cases, this is not needed.

Please make sure that when you have everything assembled together, the blades are assembled correctly (meaning the flat sides of the blades are only meeting the flat sides of the other blades) and the teeth of the combs are not touching any parts. When you run the meat cutter, and you notice it is wobbly, it is because  the beveled side of part #15 nut is facing the blade.
