American Eagle Dough Sheeter Belt Cleaning

How do I clean the dough sheeter conveyor belts?

The conveyor belts on our dough sheeters are made of canvas, so due care must be exercised to prevent damage to the belts.

Do not use any harsh chemicals or saturate the belts with water or harsh soap/water solution, as this can cause damage discoloration to the belts. You may use a baking soda or mild vinegar solution. Spot cleaning with limited amounts of water or mild dish soap can be effective if dried immediately. Never use any non-food safe cleaners.

Use a vacuum to remove excess flour around the conveyor belts as necessary. In order to remove all remaining pieces of dough from the belts after daily use, lightly use a plastic scraper or a very soft bristle brush while the machine is in operation, as shown in the two example photos below. Do not place too much pressure on the conveyor belt as this could cause damage to the belt. Be careful to remove any flour which may have accumulated under the belts (between the belt and table surface/rollers) as accumulated flour/dough stuck under the conveyor belt or rollers will cause extra stress on the belts leading to pre-mature tearing or wear.
